Friday Morning (& Challenge Day 1)
July 17, 2009
Have been waking up ridiculously early since coming back from holiday, but can’t keep my eyes open after 10.30 pm, so I’m going to try and readjust my body clock a bit by having a ‘power nap’ after lunch today, so hopefully I’ll be able to stay awake a bit later, and wake up a bit later. That’s the plan, anyway.
I can’t tell you how vile the weather has been – yesterday it poured with rain nearly all day, and today has started with drizzle, high winds and dark clouds. The long range forecast on weather.co.uk doesn’t look much better, either. The whole house is draped in holiday laundry that I’m trying to dry (interestingly, the first time I’ve half wished that I hadn’t got rid of my tumble drier 12 months ago, which just goes to show, I really didn’t need it at all).
William is going to spend the day with Ashley’s mum today, and I did think about going to see My Sister’s Keeper at the cinema this afternoon, but I can’t really justify driving a 22 mile round trip just to see a film by myself, so I’ve decided against it. The only local cinema showing it is in Paignton, which’ll be rammed with holidaymakers, and parking’s a nightmare, too.
My plans for the day therefore are: a bit of housework, some ironing, menu planning for the weekend and shopping at Tesco, get rid of the final backlog of emails leftover from while I was away, finish catching up with everybody’s blogs (still 100+ items in my reader to get through!), and hopefully get out for some fresh air and a walk.
Challenge Day 1
- Lose 10 lbs – need to weigh myself, & start writing down what I eat each day.
- Exercise – none
- Keep Will occupied – karate, library visit, trip to Waterstones to spend his book token, McDonalds (don’t worry, I only had a salad!), brief trip to park (dodging rain). Organised a couple of things for next week.
- 101 – no progress
- Housework – laundry & ironing, still tidying up and putting away from hols.
- Family meals – cooked a chicken, tomato & basil pasta bake for dinner with sugar snap peas. William ate all of his (quite large portion) without complaint – result!

You go! Looking forward to seeing how you get on.
BTW – are you still using Alli?
Plus – we need to get you on Twitter – then I can ask you these random questions at any time of the day!

Hiya – not using Alli any more, as I suspected it would be, it was a complete load of rubbish. Did lose weight, but not any more than I would have done anyway, as I was on a low fat/low calorie diet. Oh well, at least I know now!
Have tried Twitter, but just can’t get into it, I’m afraid. Quite a good thing, really, as I already spend a frightful amount of my life in front of the computer! I’m strictly a Facebook girl!

Thankyou for visiting my blog. I hope you manage to complete all these tasks you have set yourself today. Yes do join Twitter, that’s why I haven’t been blogging so much lately.
