Fab Family Night Out

Last night we went to the ‘Proms in the Park’ which was held at William’s school, in the beautiful school grounds.

The music was brilliant, the company was great, the food and drink just perfect, and the kids had an absolute ball as well – it really was a quintessentially perfect English summer’s evening out.

The school choir and orchestra, along with several incredible solo performances, did an amazing job with a huge variety of music including songs from the musicals, some light opera and a medley of classic wartime hits.

And we all sang along and waved our Union Jacks to Jerusalem, Rule Britannia and Land of Hope & Glory at the end of the evening.

We ended up back at the house of some friends, where we (very ill-advisedly) drank tequila shots and laughed until we were crying.  Finally got home and to bed at about 12.30 am and woke up this morning with an immaculate full face of make-up still in place!!
