Sunday Car Booty

Struggled to get up this morning after a bad night’s sleep, but it was well worth the early start as I picked up some good bits and bobs at this morning’s car boot sale.  Despite the weather forecast telling us it was going to be sunny, it’s very overcast and threatening rain at the moment, so I’m glad I’m back at home with my cup of tea, shopping completed!

Geox trainers £2, Calvin Klein giftset £1

Airwalk hoody 50p, and Per Una pretty lacy cardigan 50p (photo doesn’t do it justice).  Reg the cat also making a guest appearance again!

Skechers wedges 5op, rather nice brown boots £2 (wish they were my size!)

Body Shop giftset and two Boots 17 giftsets, £1 each

Weight Watchers cookbook 50p, Dartington paperweight commemorating Charles & Diana’s wedding £1.50

One of the nice things about shopping at car boot sales is meeting and chatting to all sorts of different people.  I know quite a lot of the ‘regulars’ (shoppers and sellers) to pass the time of day with, and I met and chatted to a couple of really lovely stallholders this morning as well – one lady in particular who was donating all the money she made to the local hospice, where I used to work.

Far nicer than shopping in the high street where you’re lucky if most of the shop assistants look at you whilst serving you, let alone have a chat!

Have a lovely Sunday, whatever you may be doing – we’re planning a quiet one after a hectic Friday and Saturday.

  1. I agree it’s a nice atmosphere at a car boot – I just wish they didn’t start so early! You do well to get up and grab the bargains! Thanks for linking up with Magpie Monday.
